Monument to the first Komsomol members - builders of Magnitka is located in the square named after V.I. Chapaeva is an object of cultural heritage of federal significance. The monument was laid in October 1958, on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the Komsomol. It was a memorial plate, saying that a monument would be erected here. Its opening took place on May 9, 1966, the day of the meeting of the first builders of Magnitogorsk. The height of the sculpture made of forged aluminum is 3 meters, the total height of the monument is 6.5 meters. The monument is made with funds earned by the Komsomol members of Magnitogorsk on subbotniks. The pedestal is composed of refractory magnesite. In the upper part of the pedestal there is a marble belt along the perimeter, along which the inscription: "The first Komsomol members - builders of Magnitka from the Komsomol members of the 60s".
