Social policy is a contract between all members of society.

The head of the region, Alexei Texler, sets one of the important tasks in his policy to develop the social sphere of life of the South Urals. This unit will be supervised by the vice-governor of the Chelyabinsk region Irina Geht. The emphasis will be on new technologies and science.

“Social policy should increase the interest of the region’s competitiveness, and not just be a source of money supporting a certain standard of living and quality of services,” Irina Geht believes. “The main task is not to give unemployment benefits or material assistance, but the possibility of retraining, finding a job, starting your own business.”

Today, more than 800 different benefits and allowances, which are sometimes not tied to human needs. It is necessary to look for new technologies to stimulate the birth rate and support families who find themselves in difficult life situations.

In the field of medicine, the most critical is its low level in municipalities. First of all, you need to pay attention to repair and equipment, but at the same time create a base for the future. So, in the Chelyabinsk region, the Center for Genetic Research will begin to operate. The project has already been supported by Governor Alexei Texler.

Accessibility and quality of medical care is a personnel issue. While this problem is not felt so sharply in education, but if you look at the statistics, you can encounter it in a couple of years. Therefore, young professionals who will travel to the region should be encouraged with salaries and housing.

An important area in social policy, also related to medicine, is the nutrition of children. Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract are in second place after the musculoskeletal system. And to solve this problem, an interdepartmental group will be organized. For example, in areas with developed agriculture, it is necessary to provide children with straws from fresh vegetables for the whole day and monitor the level of health throughout the year. This experience can be extended to other schools in the region.

According to Irina Geht, the Chelyabinsk region is an iodine-deficient region, so the School Milk program needs to be developed, which will begin on January 1. Now doctors are preparing the whole set of necessary fortification of milk, so that every child receives a vital set of vitamins and minerals.

There will be many similar projects, and a project office will be needed that will coordinate the work of all departments of the social sphere. Poverty, mortality, problems of people with disabilities - in public policy, each task is a separate plan, requiring the efforts of absolutely the entire sphere.
