The fate of the house on Karl Marx Avenue, 164

The head of the Chelyabinsk region, Alexei Texler, reported to Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko on the execution of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation for the resettlement of house 164 along Karl Marx Avenue, which was damaged by the explosion of household gas.

“The instruction of the President of the Russian Federation is being carried out in full, taking into account the opinion of each resident of the house on Karl Marx Avenue, 164,” Aleksey Leonidovich specified.“The provision of housing for citizens who have lost their apartments as a result of the tragedy and those who have decided to move is continuing.”

Alexey Teksler noted that the issue is under his personal control. The head of the region met several times with the residents of the affected house, and the head of the city, Sergey Berdnikov, also regularly receives citizens.

According to the results of a survey of residents of the affected house, more than half of the citizens decided to stay in their apartments on Karl Marx Avenue, 164. Today, social payments are made to purchase housing for apartment owners in the affected house.

The head of the region also told the vice-premier about the project of landscaping near the house.According to the results of public discussions, it was decided to create a square on the site of collapsed entrances, and at the ends of the two buildings formed an art object was already placed - this is a graffiti depicting a flock of 39 birds soaring into the sky and 39 clouds.

The territory of public space is divided into three functional areas - for sports, recreation and public events. A comfortable pedestrian zone, flower beds for perennial flowers are organized in the recreation area. There will also be planted trees, benches and lighting will appear. The installation of modern equipment and an obstacle course complex is foreseen in the sports area.
