In the southern Urals, there is a high risk of wildfires.

Since May 1, a special fire protection regime has been announced in the Chelyabinsk Region. In the first week of the month, neighboring regions fought against the fire element.

To eliminate fires in the territory of the Kurgan and Orenburg regions, even the Ministry of Emergency Situations was involved. The Chelyabinsk region has sent an airmobile group of the Ural training rescue center EMERCOM of Russia to help its neighbors.

Currently, the situation in the Southern Urals is under control. However, the negligent attitude of residents towards safety gives serious reasons for concern. So, from May 1 to May 5, 473 grass fires were recorded. In addition, 67 forest fires arose on the territory of the region, to combat which 782 people were involved, 276 units of equipment of the territorial subsystem of the Russian Emergency Response System, including units of the regional fire service and the General Administration of Forests of the Chelyabinsk Region. The total area covered by fire was more than 682 hectares.

EMERCOM employees once again demand strict adherence to a special fire protection regime, which is established by the Chelyabinsk Region Government Decree No. 213-P of April 29, 2019. Violation of these requirements provides for a fine for citizens in the amount of from two to four thousand rubles, for officials - from 15 to 30 thousand rubles, for legal entities - from 200 to 400 thousand rubles. For similar actions that led to damage amounting to more than 250 thousand rubles, criminal liability is provided in the form of imprisonment for up to one year.

It should be added that the head of the region Alexey Teksler spoke on this topic.

“If you notice a fire, immediately call a toll-free single forest guard number: 8-800-100-94-00 or to the regional dispatcher service for extinguishing forest fires by phone: 8 (351) 261-65-54,” addressed the fellow countrymen Alexey Leonidovich.
